The Electromechanical Level Indicator(Model MLM 760) is a robust and reliable device designed to operate in stringent industrial environments for measuring level in bunkers and high silos. The instrument is suitable for Bulk solids, powders or lumps. Some of the materials that can be measured are cement, raw or pulverized coal, plastic granules and many more.

A sensing weight attached to the flat tape is lowered into the bunker or silo. When the weight meets the surface of the product the tension on the measuring tape is relaxed and this is detected by the ‘Nivomeasure’ electronics.  The distance travelled by the weight is converted into digital pulses. These pulses can be converted into 4 - 20 mA analog signal proportionate to 0-100% level or counted to display level digitally in m/cm.
